A Company distributing Technology goods around Southern Africa is looking for a Community Manager, who is passionate about all things Social Media

Job Purpose

  • The successful candidate will assist with the running of Social Media accounts for their brands, both within a content and community management role
  • The person will be responsible for monitoring all Social Media accounts across all brands, replying to queries, and assisting with media planning and advertising across social channels
  • They will be expected to maintain existing websites, build new ones, and provide innovative ideas where needed
  • They need someone who is flexible, a problem solver, they must be able to suggest improvements and follow through
  • The person needs to be geared towards conversion and eCommerce environments


Qualifications & Experience

  • Diploma or Degree in Digital Marketing including social media management
  • Strong communication and copywriting skills
  • Strong planning and analytic skills
  • Ability to write content, schedule content and manage posts and ads within platforms
  • Ability to work with social tools including Facebook Business Manager, Twitter Business, Hootsuite, Google Ads, and other social listening & scheduling tools
  • Able to produce monthly reports on budgets and interactions on pages
  • Clear understanding of the different major social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram etc.) and the types of communication required per platform


Key Responsibilities

  • Content creation – generating original, creative, and imaginative content ideas for monthly content plans for social media clients of the Company – this includes creative copywriting
  • Aid in the development of social media content strategies with the team
  • Aid in the conceptualising of campaigns with the team
  • Competitor tracking – research competitors and keep abreast of market trends
  • Social media account management (community management)
  • Reporting and analytics – compiling monthly reports and interpreting your findings
  • Setting up audiences, running ads and writing monthly reports
  • Keywords, Google AdWords, and SEO, and writing monthly reports
