To operationalize the Trust strategy through leading, organizing and managing the team and programmes, building and maintaining effective partnerships and stakeholder management, thereby contributing to the achievement of the Trust strategic objectives

An independent trust established in 2014 supporting initiatives within the South African education space, through individuals supported in high school as well as university scholarships.

The Foundation operates on the basis of strong partnerships with stakeholders including education departments, donors, service providers, higher education institutions, researchers and schools which share the Foundation’s vision of skilled and empowered young people, who can contribute towards the growth and development of South Africa.

 

The CEO must ensure that the Trust has a clear vision, mission and strategic direction and is focused on achieving these.  The CEO must work in partnership with the Board of Trustees and other senior staff to ensure that:

 

Performance Management

The CEO is responsible for the performance of the Trust, for stakeholders engagement and for its corporate behaviour

 

Compliance

The CEO must ensure that the Trust complies with all legal and regulatory requirements

 

Management of Assets / Finances      

The CEO must be the steward of the Trust’s assets, both tangible and intangible, taking care over their security, and how they are used

Good Governance

The CEO must ensure that the Trust’s management is of the highest possible standard

Education:

 

  • Tertiary qualification with a Masters’ degree
  • MS Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint (Intermediate), MIS

 

Skills/Experience Required:

  • 5 - 8 years’ experience in a project / programme / research management role
  • 3 – 5 years’ experience at a senior, programmatic level
  • Exposure to the education arena or related sectors (policy /   
  • administration / teaching)
  • Broad based knowledge of the development sector and the needs of    
  • disadvantaged communities of SA
  • Experience in funding sector in SA
  • Specialist knowledge in education and grant making/funded
  • programmes
  • Research, monitoring and evaluation experience with respect to
  • knowledge management and information sharing
